Connecting the Head, Heart, and Body
Dear Friends,
Connecting the head and heart with rest of our body: an essential talent in these eventful times.
Our fitness, our true fitness, does not only exist in the functioning of our physiological systems but is more so based in the foundation of our thoughts and our endeavours.
In this 60 Day Focus, over the course of the last month and a half, you have undoubtedly experienced progress, setbacks, personal victories, and challenges…and Life continues to bring the full spectrum of these experiences our way in a timeless fashion. There are no limits to the euphoria and alternatively, the angst with which we are faced. But there is a way…a way to keep this rapidly moving experience we call Life from becoming overwhelming…
How?
Empowerment and Self-Awareness – through the consistency of our positive thoughts and through the resilience of our efforts to create outcomes. Everything we think and do are choices. Sounds simple but can be definitely difficult to practice at times. Yet, our outcomes in our dealings at home, at work and in our personal realities are really contingent upon the choices we make…
…and when we take time and make a commitment to truly care for our headquarters and our heartquarters, we become mentally and spiritually equipped to perpetuate success and to stave off challenges…because we can effectively choose.
The consequences of Life that we face do not make us; rather, they reveal us.
So the next time you are exercising, elevating your heart rate, getting your endorphins firing and stoking your adrenaline, take a moment… Be grateful for the mental and spiritual health you have created and for the choices you have made, to enable you to embrace physical fitness…because with these efforts, you are fortifying your body, your castle, which is home to your dynamic mind and indomitable heart.
Have a wonderful week ahead.
