Our Mental Attitude
Dear Friends,
We have moved into the second half of your 60 Day Focus...and the attention to your mental, physical and personal goals continues to prevail…
A consistent declaration by almost all of you, in the MENTAL realm, has been to stay positive and to stay committed to the process. Evidently, by the efforts and resolve we are seeing, this is happening.
But here is a question – what is it that enables you to keep that attitude? Even when life curves and twists, how do you maintain that fortitude to remain composed and protective of your fundamentals?
Sometimes it is worth asking yourself those questions…because your ATTITUDE is your air current…it is the jet stream that keeps you in flight. The physical and personal goals for which we strive only emerge when our ATTITUDE is such that we are validating the positive things we are doing and being truthful to ourselves regarding the things that need improvement.
Each day is a forum to make choices – how we listen, how we speak, how we think…and that forum can be so much more engaging for ourselves (and others, for that matter) when we are cognizant of our MENTAL ATTITUDE.
Take time to listen, really listen
Take 5 minutes a day just to sit in silence
Remind yourself of something you have done very well
Encourage someone who may be facing a challenge
Keep your mind sharp by staying hydrated and getting good sleep
These things, only a few of a long list, can help you hone your attitude and continue to move forward in your life.
We are going to take another aim at our nutrition focus this week and fill out a nutrition log, to again recognize and illustrate the choices we are making and when we are making them. This will help us stay on track with our focus at the halfway point of this 60 Day phase of growth. Please find the log attached and start it today.
