Strategies To Training

When it comes to training, there are three strategies that I like to use when developing a plan. Once you start, make sure you set realistic, attainable goals, and trust the process.

The strategies are:

·       Developing positive habits

·       Strength Training

·       Nutrition

These three are going to be the cornerstone of your plan and they all correlate with each other.

Why?

Developing positive habits

·       The right habits are going to help you reach your goals. Habits are activities that have become automatic, consistent, and less difficult for you. With the right habits, you're going to become more efficient, effective, and strategic about the thoughts and actions that lead you towards your goals.

·       The right habits will increase the overall quality of your life. Two or more habits create routines—morning routines, evening routines, Sunday night routines, end of the workday routines, etc.—and it’s these routines that help us be more efficient and effective, and allow us to have highly productive days on a consistent basis.

·       The right habits are going to allow you to help people around you. If you are a parent, a boss, a spouse, or have any sort of relationship with people, you know how we can influence those around us and vice versa. If you adopt positive habits that your children or spouse get to see, they are most likely going to be inspired by it and Theresa a higher chance they will pursue something similar.

 Strength Training

There are many benefits to strength training at the physical, physiological and even psychological level, which is why is a staple in our program. Here are some of them:

·       Increase muscle mass

·       Decrease body fat

·       Increase bone strength

·       Increase flexibility

·       Improve balance

·       Improve cardiovascular health

·       Control blood sugar levels

·       Reduce the risk of diseases such as diabetes, cancer, stroke, heart attacks

·       Improve mental health

Nutrition

Just like strength training, proper nutrition has many benefits that also go beyond your physical appearance:

·       Decrease body fat

·       Increase muscle mass

·       Reduce the risk of some diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, stroke, some cancers, and osteoporosis

·       Reduce high blood pressure

·       Lower high cholesterol

·       Improve your well-being
