Consistent caloric intake whether through restricted measures and or increased will have an adapted response over time.
By changing the caloric intake, you can adjust and or reverse adaptations
Various studies ranging from The CALERIE Study and others have stated that the expected adaptation rates usually begin in just a few weeks and higher adaptation rates occur after 3-6 months.
By caloric cycling versus long term dieting through caloric deficit, studies have often shown favourable results and far happier tested subjects.
