The 90 Day Challenge - 60 Days In

Dear Friends,

60 Days in…closing in on the final 30 days of this stage of your reinvention…

October was an eventful month. The instability of the times, some travel and the demand of your life schedule undoubtedly posed a challenge… Discomfort and uncertainty, although painful at times, provide an opportunity for growth and also call upon us to really remind ourselves of our core values.

Now that we are into mid-November and closing fast on the holiday season, our goals and focus require an internal quality: MENTAL TOUGHNESS.

Whatever your goals are, be them directed towards your workouts, more disciplined nutrition, time with family, personal spirituality or expanding awareness, they all will require an elevated level of our own MENTAL TOUGHNESS.

What is it? It is the capacity we hold to set a standard of daily excellence for that which we want to accomplish in our lives. Any personal journey will have transitions between success and disappointment…we must embrace both…and now is an opportune time for us to hone in on our pledges to make the personal improvements we declared we would. It will require our consistency, determination, confidence, resilience, and control under pressure.

What else does it require? Practically, here are some tools…

1. PROGRAM YOUR MIND

  • bring positive affirmations into your daily awareness
  • say to yourself, “I will, I can…”. And say it again and again in quiet moments…

2. EXPECT TO WIN

  • visualize good things happening for you
  • remind yourself that you deserve success and happiness
  • know that we will not win every play but our expectation to win will bring us closer to the reality we want to create

3. DAILY PRACTICE

  • follow your good habits (for example, breakfast in the morning, drinking water during the day) and then before bed, spend a moment reviewing how you did
  • spend at least 5 minutes a day in silence, even close your eyes, breathe and reflect…this will calm you and contribute to your focus

4. COMPOSURE

  • when your path goes awry, stay calm and aim to understand what happened. No reaction or panic, just calmness and a resolve to move forward
  • make an effort to learn from yesterday’s lessons

By re-focusing now and expecting success in the coming weeks, you will reach the conclusion of this stage of your personal growth with a higher degree of clarity, strength and commitment to create change in your life.

Sincerely,

Ranjit
