Affirmations for the New Year

Welcome into the flow of this new year!

 

We hope you have enjoyed the first few weeks of the month. There is always a transition period as we emerge from a holiday season. Now, as January 20th shows on the calendar, we have an opportunity to anchor ourselves to a few fundamental habits that will keep us mentally and physically strong now and into the next month.

 

Yet, the fundamentals are first and best supported by our mindset….one that is positive, optimistic and expecting small, daily victories. Each morning, a simple affirmation such as “I am healthy, focused and grateful for this day” said with conviction about 20 - 30 times, will create internal peace and clarity. This will then propel you to make good decisions and maintain solid habits regarding your fitness, nutrition and spirit. You may repeat the process in the evening as well.

 

Here are a few other examples of effective affirmations:

  • “I am positive and I am creating my own happiness today”
  • “My thoughts lead me in the direction of healing and strength”
  • “I am detailed, organized and honor the priorities that require my attention”
  • “Abundance, in all forms, flows into my life each day”
  • “I trust my intuition and act on its wisdom”
  • “I honor my time and energy by making wise choices”

 

Our sub-conscious mind is very powerful; and it follows the pure lead of the self-talk we provide. The more we can give it the gift of these kinds of messages, through affirmations and positive statements, our Life will hold a higher propensity towards health and success.
