As the chart shows, based off your maximum lifting potential in a said exercise, you can achieve different results.

By lifting 85-100% 1-5 reptations of any exercise will help develop strength while lifting 60% for higher repetition like 15 will develop muscular endurance. The main key is the finding rep max for a lift through monitored testing or you can also use an approximation formula.

Here are 3 different calculations to use to help you find your rep max.

Epley formula – weight x (1+0.0333xreps)
Landers formula – (100xweight) / (101.3-2.67123xreps)
